Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for your sign-in provider, paired devices, recovery secret, and activity under your account. Do not share credentials or attempt to use another person's account.

2. Open-source Emulo

The local Emulo software published in the repository is offered under the MIT License. That license governs your use, copying, and modification of the open-source code. These Terms do not remove rights granted by that license.

3. Emulo Pro

Emulo Pro is the optional managed service. Available capabilities, prices, storage or device limits, retention, and recovery periods are shown before purchase. Features described as unavailable or forthcoming are not part of a paid purchase until they are activated and identified as available.

4. Billing, automatic renewal, and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually at the price shown at checkout and continue through automatic renewal until canceled. Polar is the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller; its checkout also presents applicable taxes, buyer terms, and payment details. You may cancel through the customer portal to stop future renewals. Cancellation normally leaves access active through the paid period, subject to the entitlement and recovery rules shown before purchase.

5. Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law. A refund and subscription cancellation are separate actions unless Emulo or Polar confirms both.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the hosted service to break laws, violate another person's rights, probe or bypass authorization, interfere with service operation, distribute malware, automate abusive traffic, exceed limits dishonestly, access another account or device, or reverse engineer nonpublic service credentials and security controls. Responsible security reports are welcome at the contact address below.

7. Your content and privacy

You retain rights in your local profiles, workflows, and other content. When encrypted continuity is available and enabled, you authorize Emulo to store and transmit the client-encrypted artifacts required to provide it. Emulo does not acquire ownership of that content. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Emulo rights

Emulo branding, the hosted service, and non-open-source service materials remain owned by their respective rights holders. Feedback may be used to improve Emulo without an obligation to compensate you, but it will not be treated as permission to publish your private data.

9. Availability and changes

Emulo aims to provide a reliable service but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be changed, paused, or discontinued for security, legal, provider, capacity, or product reasons. Material reductions to paid functionality or recovery periods will be communicated when required. Local open-source artifacts do not become inaccessible merely because the hosted service is unavailable.

10. Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated for serious or repeated violation of these Terms, security risk, fraud, nonpayment, provider requirement, or legal obligation. When safe and lawful, Emulo will provide a reasonable opportunity to export eligible encrypted hosted data before final deletion.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the hosted service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Emulo does not warrant that generated or synchronized artifacts are correct for every purpose. You remain responsible for reviewing consequential AI instructions and maintaining appropriate local backups. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emulo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without overriding mandatory protections that apply in your country. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Israel will have jurisdiction where legally permitted. Questions can be sent to Emulo, operated by Ohad Krispin, at ohadkrispin@gmail.com.
